1. Overview

Gnivil ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by GNIVIL LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. We provide a personal AI assistant service ("LaVie") that initiates phone calls and sends SMS messages on behalf of the account owner for appointment scheduling, service inquiries, follow-up with known contacts, and personal errands.

2. Consent for Voice Communications

By providing your phone number to our service, you expressly consent to receive voice calls initiated by our AI assistant on your behalf. These calls are made only when you explicitly request a specific action via your authenticated private channel.

You may opt out at any time by:

Requesting termination via your private channel

3. Information We Collect

Contact Information: Phone numbers and email addresses you provide
Call & Message Records: Logs of initiated calls and SMS messages (timestamp, recipient, purpose, content)
Authentication Data: Credentials to verify your identity when requesting calls or messages
Consent Records: Source, timestamp, and channel of every opt-in to SMS (retained 4 years)

4. How We Use Your Information

To place phone calls and send SMS messages on your behalf as explicitly requested
To maintain call and message logs for your reference and service improvement
To comply with legal obligations and Twilio's regulatory requirements (A2P 10DLC, TCPA, Stir/Shaken)

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:

Twilio Inc.: Our telecommunications service provider (required to deliver calls and SMS)
Authentication providers: Google OAuth and equivalent identity verification services
Legal authorities: When required by law, court order, or government regulation

5.1 SMS / Mobile Information — Carrier-Required Disclosure

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This includes phone numbers used for SMS, SMS opt-in data, consent records, and the content of SMS messages.

Mobile information may be shared only with subcontractors that directly support the SMS service we provide to you — for example, Twilio Inc. (telecommunications infrastructure) and authentication providers (identity verification). All other categories of use cases exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS program details (end-user terms)

Program name: LaVie personal assistant SMS (operated by GNIVIL LLC under gnivil.com).
Use case: Personal-volume conversational messaging with people who have first contacted the account owner (web form, inbound call, mailer reply, or in-person introduction). No marketing blasts. No cold outreach.
Message frequency: Varies based on your interaction. Conversational — typically 1–10 messages per request.
Costs: Message and data rates may apply. Charges, if any, come from your mobile carrier, not from us.
HELP: Reply HELP to any message for support. You will receive a one-time message identifying the program, the operator, and a support contact.
STOP: Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and will not receive further messages from that program.
Reinstating: Reply START after opting out to resume messages.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How consent is captured

We collect SMS consent through one of the following channels, and retain a record of each:

A web contact form on gnivil.com containing explicit SMS opt-in language and a checkbox.
The recipient calling or texting the account owner's published number first.
The recipient replying YES to a postal mailer that includes SMS opt-in disclosure.
Direct in-person introduction where SMS consent is captured in writing.

6. Data Security

We store credentials in encrypted Google Secret Manager. Call and message logs are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted unless required for legal compliance. SMS consent records are retained for 4 years per CTIA carrier guidelines.

7. Your Rights

Request a copy of your data
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Opt out of voice communications at any time
Opt out of SMS communications at any time (reply STOP, or email privacy@gnivil.com)

8. Single-User Service

This is a personal service operated by a single account owner. We do not engage in mass marketing, robocalling, mass texting, or unsolicited communications.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date and "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Material changes will be reflected at the top of this document.
